The Joy of the Process

I follow the grain of the wood with the handle of my mom's old scraper in my right hand, while controlling the pressure and flow of the blade with the fingers of my left. I get a warm feeling between my shoulders and neck as the rhythm of the wood is revealed. This is when the stories begin. Together they are my calming rhythm.

This collection includes pieces that, depending on size, like to be displayed on a coffee table, credenza, countertop or shelf.  Most pieces are suitable for 360 degree viewing, and many beg to be touched.  While most pieces are best suited for indoor environments, a few may fare well in sheltered outdoor locations.

Many works in this collection are equally interesting viewed not only from the front, but from the sides, as well. Each piece in this group is equipped with a means for hanging on a wall.  Some of the heavier pieces have a two-part hanging system which includes not only an attachment on the back of the piece, but a special apparatus that attaches to the wall.
